The Story Behind The App
In collaboration with A. Hofland, who conducted her graduation research on detecting risky behavior among individuals with mild intellectual disabilities in a residential setting, we developed a digital solution that enables professionals to act more proactively. Her research focused on identifying different forms of risky behavior, understanding their causes, and improving current detection and intervention methods. Through interviews, surveys, and questionnaires with both clients and caregivers, key insights were gathered to shape an effective solution.
Based on the research findings, a professional tool in the form of an app was developed. The goal of this app is to detect risky behavior at an earlier stage, allowing professionals to respond more quickly and prevent incidents. The app’s design is grounded in specific user needs, ensuring it seamlessly supports both clients and caregivers in their daily interactions.
While the brand identity was already established, our role was to create a functional and intuitive app around it. By combining research-driven insights with smart UI/UX design, we built a tool that enhances safety, improves communication, and provides professionals with a structured way to monitor and manage risks effectively.
